Lathitha Marimba Band
The Lathitha Marimba Band was founded in 2011 as the very first offering of Lathitha Njalo Productions. What began as a small ensemble of passionate musicians quickly grew into a dynamic performing group that brought the warm, rhythmic sounds of African marimbas to audiences across the Eastern Cape and beyond.

From its earliest performances, the band became known for its energetic stage presence, rich harmonies, and ability to blend traditional African rhythms with contemporary influences. Over the years, the Lathitha Marimba Band has performed at weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private functions, captivating audiences with music that celebrates African heritage while appealing to diverse listeners.

The band’s growth has also been tied to its role as a cultural ambassador. Through its music, the ensemble not only entertains but also educates audiences about the beauty and depth of African musical traditions. Its members have collaborated with schools, businesses, and community organizations, ensuring that the marimba’s vibrant voice remains central to cultural celebrations.

More than a decade later, the Lathitha Marimba Band continues to thrive, carrying forward its founding vision of using music to unite people, celebrate heritage, and bring joy wherever it performs.
